kick or head a ball into the other team’s net to score. The team
with the most goals wins!

Playing soccer is a great way for kids to:

decisions on the field.

Soccer Class

This soccer class teaches fundamental soccer techniques while supporting the development of gross motor, coordination, cognitive, communication, and social skills. Each session follows a consistent routine: warm-up exercises, skill-building drills, guided practice, and small group gameplay.

Participants are introduced to core soccer skills including dribbling, passing, shooting, ball control, and basic game positioning. Instruction includes how to properly control the ball using feet, maintain balance while moving, and coordinate movements during gameplay.

Skill development areas include:

  • Gross Motor Skills: running, kicking, stopping, changing direction, and improving overall body coordination and balance
  • Coordination & Motor Planning: controlling the ball while moving, timing kicks, and navigating space during drills and games
  • Task Sequencing & Following Directions: completing multi-step drills (e.g., dribble through cones → pass → shoot)
  • Cognitive Skills: understanding basic game rules, spatial awareness, and anticipating movement of the ball and other players
  • Decision-Making & Independence: choosing when to pass, shoot, or dribble during gameplay
  • Communication Skills: following verbal instructions, responding to cues, and communicating with teammates during activities
  • Social Skills: turn-taking, teamwork, cooperation, and participating in group drills and games
  • Self-Regulation & Attention: staying engaged during drills, transitioning between activities, and completing tasks within a structured session

Participants also learn basic soccer concepts such as field boundaries, positions, teamwork strategies, and game rules.
